Students from Timberlea Public School make a stand for local health care

In May of 2016 four Grade 3’s decided that they wanted to have a lemonade stand and donate all of their earnings to a charity.  Sophia, Brody, Georgia and Kaiden (not pictured) rolled up their sleeves and decided to try their hand at creating lemonade from scratch!  The girls were happy to find that the lineup for their lemonade stand whined and twined around the hallways of Timberlea Public School.

The girls knew that they wanted to make a difference in their community so together they decided that the funds raised would go to the Northern Lights Health Foundation.  Unfortunately after they had hosted the Lemonade Day, our city was evacuated due to the wildfire.  A year later, Sophia, Brody, Georgia and Kaiden are now in Grade 4 and still great friends.  The girls were very excited and proud to be giving back to the community and make a difference.

The Northern Lights Health Foundation would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Sophia, Brody, Georgia and Kaiden for their thoughtfulness and their generosity.
