Cindy is a committed 32 year community member with a long history of volunteerism and senior leadership positions in education, fundraising, corporate investment and community development. She holds a Masters of Arts with dual specialization in Work, Organization and Leadership, and Adult Education. Her interest in policy lead to the completion of the Public Policy Training Institute program and a presentation to the Government of Canada Senate Committee on the Charitable Sector. Cindy has lead five major capital campaigns for post-secondary education and healthcare as well as numerous program and service campaigns, and has provided leadership to boards and management teams on strategic planning, charitable giving, and fund development policies and procedures.
Lorna Ash Director of Development
Lorna joined the Health Foundation as Director of Development in 2016 and has since completed the fundraising for the $16M Gratitude Campaign and launched the highly successful Hospital Bed Races event. She has called Fort McMurray home for over 22 years and has an extensive background in Health, Social Profit Sector and Industry. As an avid community volunteer, including with the Health Foundation, Lorna is no stranger to the community and is highly respected by the team.
Lorna has recently earned a Fundraising Professional Certificate from Boston University.

Karen has been a resident of Fort McMurray for over 8 years and first joined the Health Foundation on a student placement. After completing her Office Administration Certificate from Keyano College, Karen began contract work with the Foundation leading to her new role keeping the office running smoothly and added her special touch on event logistics for the signature and 3rd party events.
In addition to her Office Administration Certificate, Karen holds designations in Health Care Aide and a Unit Clerk Certificate which makes her a great resource for the whole team and a wonderful advocate for patients.
Stephanie MacKenzie Donor Relations Officer
Stephanie joined the Health Foundation team in April 2022 and has already been using her background in Communications and logistics to support our fundraising activities. Stephanie has taken the lead on the Hospital Bed Races and is excited for the upcoming Festival of Trees and working with volunteers and event leads to create the perfect venue for fundraising.
Stephanie holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English & Professional Communications and earned awards for her contributions to her university and local papers.
