It has been a difficult year for our community, and despite this, our community continues to step up with outstanding generosity,” said Melanie Antoine, Chair of the Northern Lights Health Foundation’s Board of Directors. “We’re proud to share that through community support, sponsorship increased, attendance increased for all events, and 32 gorgeous trees were auctioned at the Festival of Trees Gala. Thank you to our community for their continued support.”
“What an amazing launch of the holiday season – a season that truly emphasizes the warmth and generosity of our community members. We extend a huge thank you to the many sponsors, in-kind supporters, donors, volunteers and community members who came together in support of local health care this past weekend,” said Cindy Amerongen, Executive Director of the Health Foundation. “Together, you showed your deep respect for the medical services and public health initiatives that are the backbone of our community’s health and well-being. It’s with your support that the Health Foundation continues to fund vital medical equipment, programs and services in the Wood Buffalo region.”
Over the past 27 years, the Festival of Trees has raised over $7 million (net) for local health care, and over 30,000 volunteer hours have been invested by thousands of community members.
