The 32nd annual Festival of Trees, presented by Syncrude, is Fort McMurray/Wood Buffalo community’s most beloved and important fundraising event of the year. The weekend will feature a series of fun, virtual events to raise funds for the Northern Lights Health Foundation and to engage audiences of all ages.

“We are excited with all the amazing programming we have for the community this year,” said Cindy Amerongen, executive director of the Health Foundation. “With recently mandated protocols to slow the spread of COVID-19, this 100% online weekend allows us to engage with new and returning sponsors and donors and keep the magic of Festival of Trees for the community. And, the proceeds from the weekend help support vital health, safety, and emergency response initiatives in our region all year long.”

On Friday, November 19 the Festival of Trees kicks off with the Tree of Hope, the Ugly Christmas Sweater Day and the opening of the Santa’s Elves Virtual Photobooth where you can snap memorable event photos all weekend long. The Home Sweet Home Online Festival Gala takes place on the evening of Saturday, November 20 followed by a family-friendly Story Time with Santa and Fun Day Daddy Daughter Sugar Plum Fairy Ball on Sunday, November 21.
