NLHF Spring Fling Presented by Syncrude
At Spring Fling 2021 presented by Syncrude, the Northern Lights Health Foundation hits the Fast Forward button.
Fort McMurray, February 22, 2021 – On April 10, the Northern Lights Health Foundation (NLHF) hosts its annual Spring Fling fundraiser. This year’s event will be live and online. Using advanced virtual platform design and augmented reality, Spring Fling 2021 Fast Forward has been developed to offer attendees an entertaining and immersive experience.
“The future of healthcare in the region is in all of our hands,” says Cindy Amerongen, Executive Director of NLHF. “The goal of our virtual Spring Fling is to share the impact of past gifts and sponsorship and outline new campaign focus areas to support healthcare initiatives in our region.”
Spring Fling 2021 presented by Syncrude, highlights the programs, services, infrastructure developments, and technological innovations funded by donors. Although many of these initiatives were originally intended to meet the need for ongoing and advanced healthcare services, they had the added benefit of enabling local healthcare teams to react quickly and safely to the specific demands of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Spring is a time of renewal and a time to be open to new opportunities for our region,” says Nelson Barbosa, Chair of the NLHF Board. “That’s particularly true this year as the Health Foundation prepares to support new capital and technology projects, and as we make deeper investments in children’s health, continuing care and seniors care. We’ve called this year’s event Fast Forward as we need to move quickly to ensure better, healthier days ahead.”
Spring Fling 2021 Fast Forward is live and interactive from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10. Activities include looks at the past, present, and future of healthcare in the region; a lively Team Pursuit with a mixture of challenges; instruction on how to make the Spring Fling 2021 Signature Cocktail with our Mixologists in the virtual Lounge, and much more.
