Karla Buffalo Joins the Health Foundation Board

Karla is a long-term member of the community whose work in government relations, health relations, and community development culminated in her appointment to the CEO of the Athabasca Tribal Council.
The Athabasca Tribal Council was founded in 1988 and represents the interests of more than 5000 Cree and Dene people living in northeastern Alberta. ATC's primary departments include Education, Health, Finance, Employment and Training and Child and Family Services. In this role, the CEO oversees the operations of ATC while keeping in line with the vision outlined by the Board of Directors which is comprised of the Chiefs of the member First Nations. ATC is continually looking for new opportunities to serve the First Nations and find new partners that share ATC's vision.
Karla has worked with Alberta Health Services to bring a Doula program to Fort McMurray and has been a proud contributor to the Health Foundation.
We are proud to have Karla join the Northern Lights Health Foundation Board of Directors and welcome her connections to the communities we serve.
