Smile Cookie Week Delivers Huge Smiles to Local Healthcare
The 25th Anniversary Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Week campaign ran at every Tim Hortons restaurant across the country from September 13th-19th. Nationally the campaign raised over $12 million for charities in which the restaurants operate.
In the Wood Buffalo region, 100% of the proceeds from each chocolate chunk Smile Cookie sold at the Hardin Street, Eagle Ridge, Quarry Ridge, YMM Airport, and Thickwood locations was donated to the Northern Lights Health Foundation. A record-breaking $29,905 was donated – that’s 29,905 cookies and 29,905 smiles shared!
Tim Hortons restaurant owners are incredibly committed to the annual Smile Cookie campaign and giving back to charities and groups in their communities. The competition to bake, decorate, and sell the most cookies is hot! We’d like to give a big shout out to Katrina, Jon, Sujamii, Rose, Virgie, and EJ for rallying their teams and working through the days and nights to have freshly decorated cookies available at every Tims’ counter. And, they always deliver a Smile Cookie with a smile!
The Smile Cookie funds will be directed to the Health Foundation’s Area of Greatest Need Fund which is currently supporting over $750,000 in projects at the Northern Lights Health Centre including the upgrade of all Vital Signs equipment and technology.
Thank you for supporting Smile Cookie week with the purchase of Smile Cookies! We look forward to next September’s campaign with joyful hearts and huge smiles!
