ConocoPhillips Supports COVID Response
ConocoPhillips; long-time supporter and friend of the Health Foundation, has joined the fight against COVID-19 through a $25,000 donation to the Northern Lights Health Foundation’s Greatest Need Campaign.
This funding comes at a time when donations are down and needs are rising as measures required to control the spread of the pandemic are stepped up. Additional screening, testing, sanitizing, masking, and other measures have increased the cost of delivering healthcare and has taken a toll on front-line staff.
“When we went into a lockdown in March, many of us thought we’d be back to normal operations by summer,” stated Cindy Amerongen, executive director of the Health Foundation. “Now we see that normal is a long-way off, and many opportunities are arising to support our front-line teams with the health programs, equipment and services best suited to the changing conditions.”
Amerongen added, “We are very thankful for this donation from ConocoPhillips. These funds will be used at the direction of the Health Foundation Board of Director for approved AHS COVID response programs in public and mental health and to support emergent needs at the hospital. Having the flexibility to address urgent needs as they arise is critical to maintaining the great service we receive from the medical and front-line staff throughout the region.”
