For Immediate Release • Tuesday November 1, 2022
The Northern Lights Health Foundation is now accepting nominations for medal recipients.
In 2022, her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her Platinum Jubilee to mark 70 years of continuous service to Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Commonwealth. To honour her memory and the legacy of her reign, the Government of Alberta is bestowing the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal to deserving Albertans.
The Northern Lights Health Foundation has been selected as a trusted partner to bring forward nominations of ten (10) persons who have had a significant impact on our organization. As a registered charity fundraising for healthcare in our region, we rely on community volunteers to lead, fund, and support our organization. We are delighted to have the opportunity to identify individuals who have made major contributions to our organization and ensure we deliver on our mission of ‘Engaging people, inspiring philanthropy and securing funds for a healthy Wood Buffalo region.’
We invite you to participate in bringing forward nominations for individuals who you believe have benefited the community through their impact with the Northern Lights Health Foundation. Your nominee must:
• Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;
• Have been alive on February 6, 2022, and;
• Have made a significant contribution to the Northern Lights Health Foundation
Nominations identifying the person, address of residence, brief bio and description of their impact may be submitted to Cindy Amerongen, Executive Director of the Northern Lights
Health Foundation. Nominations are due November 4 and can be submitted by email to
