Wall of Celebration
Celebrating the Miracle of Birth, Honouring the Heartache of Loss
As a parent, grandparent, relative or friend, you have the opportunity to commemorate the welcoming of a child by purchasing a permanent place in their name on the Health Foundation’s Wall of Celebration.
Located in the Maternal Child Unit, on the 2nd floor of the Northern Lights Regional Hospital, the Wall of Celebration is a permanent installment that commemorates the birth of little ones.

When purchasing a permanent placement on the wall, you have a choice of recognizing the child with a butterfly wing, mushroom, tree leaf, umbrella spot or raindrop. Placement is by minimum donation of $150. On the spot selected, you can list the child’s full name and date of birth.
Remember Someone Special
Losing a loved one is an incredibly heart-wrenching experience. By adding their name to the To Honour & Remember Wall, you can create a lasting tribute that preserves their memory for generations to come.
You can honour the memory of a loved one by making a meaningful gift in their name. If your loved one was passionate about the well-being of their community, this gesture will hold even deeper significance. Making a gift in memory to the Health Foundation is a special and lasting tribute to someone who meant so much to you. Your support directly impacts patients receiving care in your community.
The Northern Lights Health Foundation will send a heartfelt card to the bereaved family, acknowledging your thoughtful gesture. In addition, you will receive a tax receipt and a note of gratitude for your generosity. Rest assured, the amount of your donation remains strictly confidential.

Honour your Health Care Hero
Sometimes “thank you” is not enough to show your appreciation for the caliber of exceptional care provided to you or a family member while a patient at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre or while receiving health care in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
The Honour Your Hero Program was created to provide you with an opportunity to identify excellence and show your appreciation in a meaningful way to a physician, staff member or volunteer who has made a difference in the delivery of health care services.
What better way to show appreciation than by making a donation in recognition of a job well done. Your gift not only recognizes an individual or department of excellence, but also helps ensure that the same level of compassionate, high quality care that you or your loved one received will remain available today and for generations to come.
When you make a donation to the Honour Your Hero Program, your designated Hero will received notification that they have been recognized for their outstanding contributions along with a celebration Health Care Hero pin that they can proudly wear everyday to remind them that you care.
